This was actually true. In this case, the photo that inspired the painting was taken because I was working at the time for a company that sold windows, and it took me to Portarlington. It was during spring and I couldn’t help but stop the car and take a photo of the beautiful yellow canola fields with the You Yang Mountains in the background across Corio Bay.’
